This contest is truly designed to engage the community in celebrating the places, restaurants and local businesses we love.

In 2025, the community cast over 247,000 votes — a remarkable 29% increase year-over-year — showing tremendous pride for the businesses and organizations that make Lafayette and the surrounding region so special. That enthusiasm reflects the qualities that define Acadiana: delicious food, unforgettable music, welcoming people, and strong local enterprises that give the area its distinct identity.​

How does it work?
During the nomination period, we invite our audience to nominate outstanding establishments and professionals in Lafayette and the surrounding areas. Once our nominations are taken, we will move them to a ballot for official voting. All nominations and voting will be done online at VoteAcadiana.com.
